Moong dal dhokla is a low calorie snack and is a favourite breakfast recipe of gujaratis. To enhance its flavour and nutritive value, add some grated carrots or ground peas to the batter. 

INGREDIENTS:

  • Moong dal - 30 g
  • Ginger-green chilli paste - ¼ tsp
  • Cumin seeds powder - ¼ tsp
  • Low-fat curd - 20 g
  • Salt to taste

For The Garnish:
  • Chopped coriander - 10 g 

DIRECTIONS:
Step 1 Soak the moong for 4 hours. Drain and grind to a coarse paste. Step 2 Add the ginger-green chilli paste, cumin seed powder, curds and salt and mix well. Step 3 Grease a thali and keep aside. Step 4 Pour the batter into the greased thali and steam immediately for 10 to 12 minutes. Step 5 Coul slightly and cut into diamond shaped pieces. Step 6 Serve hot, garnished with the coriander.
