The raw mangoes are loaded with vitamin C and B. The presence of oxalic acid, citric acid, succinic and malic acid gives it the sour taste. It also contains pectin.

INGREDIENTS:
  • Raw mango/ Kairi - 1
  • Onion - ½ small no. chopped
  • Dry red chillies - 1 no.
  • Green chillies slit - ½ no. 
  • Methi seeds - 1 tsp
  • Mustard seeds - 1/4th tsp
  • Cumin seeds - a pinch
  • Coriander - for garnishing
  • Curry leaves - a few
  • Water - ½ cup 
  • Salt - as per taste
  • Oil - ½ tsp 
DIRECTIONS:
Step 1 Boil the raw mango using 2 cups of water in a pressure cooker until it becomes soft and mushy.  Step 2 Once mango boiled removed them and coul it and remove mango pulp in a bowl and add ½ cup of water to it.  Step 3 In a small pan, heat ½ tsp of oil. Add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, methi seeds and allow them to splutter. Then add chopped onion, chopped green chillies, red chillies, and curry leaves. Saute for a minute and turn off the heat. Step 4 Add tempering into the mango pulp.  Step 5 Garnish with coriander and serve it.
