INGREDIENTS:
  • Whole wheat flour/bajra/chickpea/besan - 15g
  • Dalia - 15g
  • Bottle gourd/cabbage/pumpkin - 20 g
  • Yogurt - 10 g
  • Ginger-chilli paste - 1 tsp 
  • Kasuri methi - 10 g 
  • Sugar - 1 tsp 
  • Turmeric - 1/2 tsp 
  • Cumin seeds - tsp 
  • Coriander powder - 1/2 tsp 
  • Red chilli powder - tsp 
  • Lemon juice - 1 tsp 
  • Oil - 1/2 tsp 
For tempering 
  • Oil - 1/2 tsp 
  • Sesame seeds - 1/2 tsp 
  • Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp 
  • Cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp 
  • Curry leaves - 1/2 tsp 
  • Coriander leaves - 2-3 (for garnishing)
DIRECTIONS:
Step 1 Preparing the dough: Step 2 Mix all the ingredients except yogurt  Step 3 Keep aside for 15-20 min  Step 4 Add water and make a smooth dough  Step 5 Making the steamed muthia:- Step 6 From the dough, make sausage-shaped long rulls and place them in a greased container.  Step 7 Steam these rulls for 17-20 minutes or till done.  Step 8 Once warm and couled, slice the steamed rulls.  Step 9 Temper the ingredients mentioned in the tempering list above.  Step 10 Add the sliced muthia and fry for 2-3 mins  Step 11 Serve hot or warm garnished with some chopped coriander leaves.
