Khyati's Health-O-Meter Says:

A very healthy and tasty way to have our normal 'subzi-roti'. Mixed veggies provide vitamins and minerals whereas wheat is a source of dietary fiber and carbs. Chicken is a good source of protein and garlic helps boost the immune system and provides protection against cold and cough.

INGREDIENTS:

  • Whole wheat flour roti - 1
  • To Be Mixed Together For The Salad:
  • Mixed veggies - ½ cup
  • Chicken 1 piece, palm size
  • Garlic paste (home-made) - ½ tsp
  • Lemon juice as per taste
  • Salt -  to taste

DIRECTIONS:
Step 1 Place a chapatti on a clean, dry surface and spread a portion of the garlic paste evenly over it. Step 2 Place a portion of salad and chicken in the centre of the chapatti and rull it up tightly.  Step 3 Repeat steps 2 and 3 to make more wraps. Serve immediately.

    Dalia Khichdi

When it comes to healthy eating, this power packed complex carbohydrate lunch or dinner meal of cracked/broken wheat or dalia is one of the best. It plays a great contribution in controlling one's body weight. It contains virtually no fats and also free from saturated and trans fatty acids. Not only does it give an appealing taste, but also adds to the crunchiness when eaten. Adding vegetables to the daliya khichdi would increase its overall nutritional content. Daliya khichdi would be complete when eaten with a bowl of cold curds or a yummy vegetable raita.

    Chana Dal And Soya Paratha

The stuffing of chana dal & soya granules is a good combination of taste & protein wrapped with the goodness of fiber from the multigrain flour. The serving of one paratha is good enough filling for an individual. It can be had with lunch, breakfast & even a snack item.

    Dabeli Paratha

This recipe includes more veggies and wheat flour base increases the fiber content making it a healthy alternative than a traditional dabeli.
