High in calcium and phosphorus, but also known to improve one's metabolism aiding in weight loss and reducing the risk of insulin resistance syndrome. Paneer masala tastes great combined with its nutritional benefits makes it very popular in Indian homes, the recipe is packed with all the qualities, makes it a great dish loaded with flavor and healthy goodness.

INGREDIENTS:

  • Paneer (cottage cheese) - 20 g
  • Oil - ½ tsp
  • Bay leaf - 1 no.
  • Green cardamom - 1 no.
  • Clove - 1 no.
  • Cinnamon - ¾ inch piece
  • Ginger paste & Garlic paste - 1 tsp
  • Green chili paste - ½ tsp
  • Onion paste - ¼ cup
  • Cumin powder - ¼ tsp
  • Coriander powder - ¼ tsp 
  • Salt - as per to taste 
  • Skimmed milk Yogurt, whisked - ¾ cup
  • Fresh coriander leaves, chopped - 2 tbsp

DIRECTIONS:
Step 1 Heat oil in a pan. Add bay leaf, green cardamoms, cloves, and cinnamon and saute till the aroma comes.  Step 2 Now, add ginger paste, garlic paste, green chili paste and mix well. Add browned onion paste and one cup of water, cook for two minutes.  Step 3 Add cumin powder, coriander powder, salt, and yogurt, and saute for 1 minute.  Step 4 Finally, add paneer to the gravy and cook over medium heat, add cardamom, and stir gently, add coriander leaves and serve hot.
