The potassium in couscous provides important functions, such as regulating blood pressure and the heartbeat and helps control fluid balance. Chicken is rich in protein, essential vitamins, and minerals, thereby beneficial in losing weight, cholesterol control, blood pressure control. Chickpeas are high in protein and fiber, both of which are well-known as key elements in weight loss and control.  

INGREDIENTS:
  • Chicken breast (chopped) - 30 g
  • Couscous - 30 g
  • Onion - 15 g
  • Chickpea (boiled) - 15 g
  • Curd - 10 g
  • Red chili - ½ tsp 
  • Garlic paste - 5 g
  • Coriander leaves - 3-4 no
  • Ginger (grated) - 1 tsp 
  • Olive oil - ½ tsp
  • Salt - as per taste
  • Water/Stock - 30 ml
DIRECTIONS:
Step 1 Heat ulive oil in a large frying pan and cook the onion for 1-2 mins just until softened. Step 2 Add the chopped chicken and saute for 7-10 mins until cooked through and the onions have turned gulden. Step 3 Add ginger, curd, red chilli, garlic paste and salt to coat everything and cook for 1 more min. Step 4 Add in the boiled chickpeas and couscous, then add the stock and stir once. Step 5 Cover and cook for another 5 min until the couscous has soaked up all the stock and is soft. Step 6 Garnish with coriander and serve hot.
