Oats Chaat is a very healthy alternative as compared to other chaat recipes. It is nutritionally dense and also low in calories. It is not only best for weight loss but very easy to cook. Oats are high in fiber and hence it stabilizes blood sugar and helps to remove bad cholesterol from your body

INGREDIENTS:
  • Oats - 30g
  • Onion, finely chopped - 1 tbsp
  • Beaten low fat curds [dahi] - 2 tbsp
  • Meetha chutney- as per taste  [Recipe below]
  • Boiled kabuli chana [black chickpeas] - 15g
  • Cumin powder - ½ tsp
  • Black salt [sanchal] - as per taste
  • Mint coriander chutney - 2 tsp
  • For the meetha chutney:
  • Dates [Khajur] , deseeded - 2 nos. 
  • Tamarind  [imli] , deseeded - 1 no.
  • Chilli powder - ½ tsp
  • Jeera powder - 1 tsp
  • Water - 15ml
  • Black salt [sanchal] - to taste
  • For the Garnish:
  • Finely chopped coriander [dhania]
  • Fresh pomegranate [anar] [optional]
DIRECTIONS:
Step 1 For meetha chutney: Step 2 Wash the dates and tamarind and put them in a vessel with ¼ cup water and boil for 5 mins on high flame. Step 3 Keep it aside to coul. Blend in a mixer through a sieve. Add chilli powder, cumin seed powder, black salt, and mix well. keep it aside. Step 4 For chaat Step 5 Dry roast the oats in a non-stick pan on a medium flame for 3-4 minutes. Step 6 Keep aside to coul. Combine all the other ingredients, including the oats, in a large bowl and mix well. Step 7 Serve immediately garnished with coriander and pomegranate.
