Neem Flower is known for its role in helping digestive issues. It is helpful in treating skin disorders and nausea as well. Rasam contains not only proteins, but also many spices which tend to have healing properties. So prepare this concoction for friends and family and enjoy its soothing effect on your body, especially in Winters!

INGREDIENTS:
  • Toor dal [cooked, mashed] - 2 tsp 
  • Tomato [chopped] - 1 no. 
  • Dried vepampoo [dried neem flower] - 2 tsp 
  • Ghee - 1 tsp 
  • Green chili [chopped] - 1-2 no. 
  •  Rasam powder - ½ tsp
  •  Asafoetida - ¼ tsp 
  • Turmeric powder - ½ tsp
  •  Curry leaves - 4-5 no. 
  • Pepper powder - ¼ tsp 
  • Cumin seeds - ½ tsp 
  • Mustard seeds - ½ tsp 
  • Tamarind water - ½ 
  • katori Salt - as per your taste Water - as required
DIRECTIONS:
Step 1 Shallow fry the dried vepampoo in the 1 tsp ghee till crisp; set aside. Step 2 Boil tomatoes, green chillies, rasam powder, asafetida, turmeric powder, curry leaves, pepper, cumin and add tamarind water. Step 3 Mash together and strain. Step 4 Add cooked, mashed toor dal and boil the mix well. Step 5 Temper mustard seeds in ghee and add to the mix. Step 6 Garnish with shallow fried dried vepampoo.
