A super healthy version of meatballs! Beef is rich in protein. Garlic contains useful minerals such as phosphorous, calcium, and iron, as well as trace minerals like iodine, sulfur, and chlorine. It is rich in phytochemical allicin which is anti-inflammatory and antithrombotic and lowers bad cholesterol. Chicken makes it a protein rich recipe.

INGREDIENTS:
  • Ground beef - 50 g
  • Slices of wheat bread - 2 nos. 
  • Milk - ½ cup
  • Onion, finely chopped - 1 small
  • Garlic, minced - 1 clove
  • Salt as per taste
  • A pinch of pepper powder
  • A pinch of nutmeg powder
  • Garam masala powder - ½ tsp
  • Oil for shallow fry - 2 tsp
  • Barbeque sauce - 2 tsp 
DIRECTIONS:
Step 1 Grind the beef into a paste. Step 2 In a bowl, add the wheat bread into small-medium pieces, and milk, stir well to make a paste. Step 3 In a bowl, add the ground meat mixture with remaining ingredients and mix well. Step 4 From the meat mixture, make 1 inch balls and keep aside. Step 5 Heat oil in a deep-bottomed pan and shallow fry the meatballs until turns to light brown. Step 6 Drain the oil and keep aside the meatballs. Step 7 In a pan add oil; add the onions and sauté until turns to light brown.  Step 8 Add the remaining ingredients [gram masala powder, pepper, and nutmeg powder], cover and simmer for 5-6 minutes.  Step 9 Add the meatballs and cook for 7-8 minutes. Serve hot or culd.
