Idlis are an ideal nutritious breakfast dish as it is a rich source of carbohydrates, fibres and proteins. They help in weight loss as they are steamed, are light and low on calories. Fermentation is known to increase the bio availability of proteins and vitamins B.

INGREDIENTS:
  • Mini idlis - 5-8
  • Green chillies 2 - 3
  • Turmeric powder - a pinch 
  • Red chilli powder - ¼ tsp
  • Fresh coriander leaves (chopped) -  1 tsp
  • Fresh mint springs -  2-3
  • Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil - ½ tsp
DIRECTIONS:
Step 1 Heat oil in a  non-stick pan. Add mustard seeds, allow to crackle then add green chillies. Add all the spices and roast well. Step 2 Add idlis and chopped coriander, mix well and let it get heated through. Step 3 Transfer in a serving bowl. Step 4 Finely chop mint and sprinkle on top. Serve hot.
