The omega-3 fatty acids in fish are good for your heart as they are a type of unsaturated fatty acid that reduces inflammation throughout the body. Inflammation in the body can damage your blood vessels and lead to heart disease. It decreases triglycerides, lowers blood pressure, reduces blood clotting, decreases stroke and heart failure risk, reduces irregular heartbeats.

INGREDIENTS:

  • Fish - 50 g
  • Ginger [paste] - ½ tsp
  • Soy sauce - 1 tsp
  • Cider vinegar - ½  tsp
  • Shallot [chopped] - ½ tsp
  • Sesame seeds - ½ tsp
  • Red chilli [slit] - 1 no
  • Black pepper - ½ tsp
  • Salt - to taste
  • Oil - 1 tsp

DIRECTIONS:
Step 1 Preheat the oven to 220°C. Clean and scale the fish.  Step 2 Brush a roasting pan with oil and place fish in the pan, season with salt and pepper, and sprinkle with the sesame seeds.  Step 3 Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the fish is cooked thoroughly.   Step 4 Meanwhile, place the ginger, red chilli, soy sauce, cider vinegar and 2 tablespoons of water in a pan.  Step 5 Add the fish and cook over low heat until the ginger and red chilli have started to soften.  Step 6 Place the baked fish in a plate and garnish with shallots and serve with brown rice.
